Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome)

AIDS is the final level of HIV infection that caused to damage the human immune system severely.

After being victim of HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus), your immune system will not be able to protect your body. That means, you are open to be attacked by any of virus, illness, cancers, life threatening and allergies.

HIV has been found in saliva, tears, nervous system tissue and spinal fluid, blood, semen (including pre-seminal fluid, which is the liquid that comes out before ejaculation), vaginal fluid, and breast milk. However, only blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk have been shown to transmit infection to others.
This HIV can be transmitted through:
  • ·        sexual contact including vaginal, oral and anal sex too,
  • ·        blood transfusions or needle sharing,
  • ·        From mother to child.

Other methods of spreading the virus are rare and include accidental needle injury, artificial insemination with infected donated semen, and organ transplantation with infected organs.

HIV is not transmitted by:
  • ·        normal contact such as hand shaking, hugging,
  • ·        touching things which have touched by who infected HIV,
  • ·        mosquitoes

If someone is infected by HIV, may not have any symptoms for 10 years or longer, but he or she can transmit HIV to others during this period. If the infection is not detected or treated, AIDS will be developed.

There are some recognized symptoms commonly.

·        Fever
·        Sweating at night
·        Weight loss
·        Chills
·        Swollen lymph glands
·        Weakness

So, if you have those symptoms, don’t be fear if you not admitted to have sex or blood transmission process.

Treatments

There is no cure for HIV and AIDS in this present time. But however there is a variety of treatment that can help keeping symptoms a bay and improve immune system.
But my opinion is that the safety is the best thing for keep out of reach of HIV or AIDS.
