The Adrenal Glands

The Adrenal Glands:

Adrenal Glands

The two ductless organs are situated close to the kidneys and product different types of hormones for our body. Some of these hormones help to regulate the amount of water in our body, and regulate metabolism. Simply, metabolism is the complex process in an organism (living being) by which the digested food is built up into living matter. The adrenal glands also produce both female hormones (estrogens) and male hormones (androgens) in both men and women’s bodies. Also the adrenal glands help to regulate the proper “pH” levels (of acidity and alkalinity) in our body.

Weak adrenal glands may cause some health imbalances such as high or low blood pressure, slow or fast metabolism, inability to sleep (insomnia), low blood sugar, high blood sugar (diabetes)  etc.
